Daisyland

G and I were wandering around a little botanical garden in Carpinteria when we came across this incredible scene. There were flowers as far as the eye could see, daisies stretched out like a glorious carpet in every direction. Pinks, purples, whites, yellows, oranges, it was a veritable feast for the eyes and I just knew that I had to paint it. The curious thing is that when we returned the next day to take more photographs there was a lady standing in the exact spot with an easel and canvas painting the same scene as this. And even more curiously, she said her name was Linda Gordon which is a combination of my first name and my husband's first name! How surreal is that! It definitely felt like yet another moment of destiny in my painting journey so far. What a wonderful experience and what a joy it was to paint!
