Fields At Dusk

This is a sister painting to Fields at Dawn and features the same fields, only instead of looking away towards the purple mountains this one looks out towards the Pacific Ocean and was painted at dusk when the light was at its most spectacular. As well as hosting crops such as blueberries, avocados and sunflowers, these particular fields are home to the most incredible array of flowering plants. Their beautiful blooms dance across the fields towards the ocean like an irresistible carpet of colour and under the extraordinary sky at sunset that day they truly were breathtaking. What a joy to paint!
