Foothill Vines 4

This is my fourth rendition of Foothill Vines and as you can imagine I'm totally in love with this ever-changing little scene! I could go on forever about the exquisite play of light sweeping like a giant sunbeam across the majestic mountains and the beguiling charm of the cluster of trees sat like a little village in the centre; or the way the gnarled vines grow and expand with each successive painting to the point where the first few vines now fill the entire foreground, their leaves turning a glorious burnished red, and the way the little stray sapling at their feet grows bigger with every passing day. It truly is the gift that keeps giving and what an absolute joy it was to paint!
