Roses In The Cottage Garden

The Cottage Garden, the sister painting to this one, was recently featured in Saatchi's New This Week collection and it was so well received that I thought I would add this one to my little gallery as well. It was painted in the summer time when the garden was an absolute riot of colour. There were flowers everywhere, there were birds and bees and butterflies, and it felt like we had stepped into a wonderland. It truly was breathtaking and I especially loved the path stretching down and away to the left. It was such a joy to paint!
