Springtime In The Gardens

There is a wonderful little botanical garden in Carpinteria called Seaside Gardens where G and I have spent many a happy hour wandering around transfixed by the wonders of nature. It's a source of constant inspiration for me and I've painted almost twenty paintings there. This new painting is the confluence of the South American Garden, the Mediterranean Garden, and the South African Garden. It encapsulates everything that I love about Seaside Gardens; the glorious flowers everywhere, the riots of reds and yellows, oranges and purples, the incredible trees and bushes from all over the world piercing an always-blue sky, the paths and walkways stretching away to yet another scene of jaw dropping beauty. It really is glorious and I never tire of painting it.
