The Lily Pond

The Lily Pond is a sister piece to The Lotus Pond. They share the same space in the gardens and are interconnected, with lotuses and lilies spilling over into each other's ponds in the most delightful way. There's a lovely little waterfall at the back of the pond which cascades down towards the front and creates a sense of constant motion, the exquisite lilies floating on a jewel-like sea in the foreground. I loved painting it.
