The Mediterranean Garden

There is a little botanical garden in Carpinteria called Seaside Gardens and it's a place of limitless beauty and fascination for me. It's been a constant source of inspiration and I've painted many scenes there since we discovered it two years ago. This is the very first painting I did of the gardens and I can still remember the sense of wonder that came over me as I rounded a corner and my eyes fell on all this beauty. It was spellbinding. What a joy to paint.
