The Sunshine Flowers 2

I've painted this scene several times before and one of the paintings, The Sunshine Flowers, is currently being featured in a worldwide promotion for Samsung's Frame TV which has been an absolute thrill to be a part of. I hadn't intended to paint it again but when G and I came across it in the gardens the other day I was struck anew by the extraordinary composition. Great banks of flowers were everywhere, from pinks and purples to yellows and reds, their stunning colours shimmering in the sunlight as they swayed beneath the giant coral tree in the centre. The entire scene seemed set in motion beneath a blue sky streaked with light and it felt for all the world like nature was putting on a show for us. It truly was glorious and what a joy it was to paint!
