Vase Of Yellow Roses

The other day while I was sitting in the garden G surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and I immediately put them in a vase on the table. I had intended to take them straight into the house but I was struck by how gorgeous they looked sat there in the splendour of the garden, the vivid yellow blooms in such glorious contrast to the purple mountains towering in the background. I knew I just had to paint them and the presence of the iconic Mumm champagne bottle only added to the irresistible allure of the scene! And if any of you are wondering, the red flowers in the vase are Alstromerias but I thought that Vase of Yellow Roses with Alstromerias would have been a bit of a mouthful! Hope you like it. Cheers!
